I watched a film called 'In the mood for love'. Heard so much about it for so long and finally watched it. My friend invited me to the 25th anniversary screening so I got to actually watch it on the big screen.
I can't lie it was actually really good! Like I enjoyed it a lot and it actaully left an impression. So much so that I will defiantly be thinking about for a while. The direction is 10/10 man. Like I was watching it, shaking my head because the way it's filmed is crazy! The shots, the grade, the tone, the acting, the wirtting! It wasn't what I expected, but so good. Not experiecne anything like it in all honesty. I could imagine it not being for everyone but I like it. It felt like a beautiful poem.
So much to take from it. As a creative its so essential to digest great pieces of work and take what you can. I'm deffo incorporating Wong Kar wai's stuff into my next project. For sure.
By the way, the next project I'm doing... You aren't ready.
But in the meantime tell people to go watch the second screening of Dogman lol. I'm excited to share this film with more people man. Can't believe I have a film finished. First of many.
P.S.
Hot take: 'Fallen angels' is better on mute.
