I have a need to go back to a time where everything was simple. A feeling of warmth. It felt dreamlike. The world felt more colourful. I think most people attribute the increasing absense of this feeling to 'adulting'. It's becaise we're growing up. More responsibilities etc. Who knows... maybe that's apart of it. But I genuinly think the kind of acess that we have to knowlegde and the internet through the use of our iphones was the catalist in my opinion. The fact that movies are being remade soley for profit and video game dlc (like unlockable characters) are now on the other side of a pay wall... Life is just different now.
There thing that we were too young to turly appreicate. The biggets of all was the oppertunity to be bored. And I see bordem as one of the missing peices for kids growing up in todays society. Boredem drives creativity. When you are most bored is when you suddenly become the most creative, because your mind looks for ways to spend that time. When I was kid me and my god sister were super bored one day. We had no phones, there was no tv in my room. We were just kicking a small rubber ball back and forth. thta got boring quick. W then looked to an empty shoe box and had an idea... I ran to my mum and asked her for some tape. She asked me why and told her 'It was a surprise'. She gave me the tape and me and my god sister somehow turned this shoebox into a hoop and tapped it to the wall and started playing basket ball in my room. I remember having so much fun that day... When it was eventually time to take it down years later, it tore the paint of the wall lol.
Anyway, I just felt like I had to write something to get this feeling off my chest. I have started using my phone less and I have ralised the less I use it, the better I feel. The less I use it, the more I do other thing that I love.
I really hate smart phones.
